This summer may not be considered a scorcher (yet), but that doesn’t matter when you are faced with a hot line-up of things to do! In July, world-class athletics will fill the Olympics Park once again for two days for the Olympic Anniversary Games. The famous Usain Bolt will be in attendance on Friday the 22nd and our Nation’s Favourite Mo Farah on Saturday the 23rd, along with other top athletic stars over the weekend. http://bit.ly/21qcMpdFor those who enjoy comedy, catch the top comedy acts, live music, variety shows and family entertainment at London’s first ever Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy event. The festival will be showcasing big names and emerging talent from the UK and the rest of the globe, with free daily street acts and activities in Russell Square. http://bit.ly/297V9X3
Last but certainly not least, with the Summer Bank Holiday weekend approaching on the 29th August, be sure to attend Notting Hill Carnival. Britain’s biggest street party is back once again and this year is taking place on Sunday the August 28th with the main parade and grand finale to be held on Monday 29th August. Since 1964, the capital’s Caribbean communities have celebrated their culture and traditions at this two-day festival of fantastic live music, which ranges from reggae to dub to salsa. http://bit.ly/1yFlOAc
